I. Purpose of the web application
BESTB4 is an online advertising and information platform available on the web, as a Progressive Web App (PWA) and as a Trusted Web Activity (TWA).
Its purpose is to enable grocery stores and retail units to advertise products that are close to their best-before date, thereby helping to reduce food waste.
The website is not an online store and does not intermediate sales.
Purchases always take place in the store or, for reserved products, upon delivery, directly with the respective business.
II. Registration and usage
II.1. Consumer registration
Full access to the service (reservations, reviews, etc.) requires registration.
During registration, the user provides their name (or nickname), e-mail address, password, and selects their location.
Registration is completed by clicking the confirmation link received by e-mail.
Without registration, the site can be used in a limited way: users may browse by granting location access, but cannot reserve products or review stores.
Location may be provided manually (by choosing a city) or automatically via device GPS.
Upon deletion of the registration, all personal data and information associated with the user are permanently deleted.
II.2. Business (Partner) registration
Only registered businesses (Partners) may post product listings via partner.bestb4.hu.
Detailed conditions for Partner registration and operation are set out in the General Terms and Conditions (GTC).
III. Use of the system
III.1. Responsibility and general principles
All users use the service at their own risk.
The Service Provider does not guarantee continuous product availability, stock information or price accuracy.
Stores are solely responsible for the data they provide.
III.2. Reviews
Consumers may rate stores on a 1–5 scale and optionally add short written comments.
Written reviews must not contain:

obscene, offensive, hateful, discriminatory, or harassing content,

any third party’s personal data or business secrets.
The Service Provider may delete such content without prior notice.
III.3. Profile pictures and appearance
User-uploaded profile images must not be offensive, political or violent in nature.
The Service Provider may delete any image that violates these guidelines without justification.
IV. Product reservations and bulk reservations
The BESTB4 system allows single and bulk product reservations.
1. Single reservation
The user may reserve a product through the website.
The store receives a notification and may confirm or reject the reservation.
Reservations do not constitute a purchase; payment is made upon in-store collection.
If no confirmation is received, the reservation is invalid.
2. Bulk reservations
The user may reserve multiple products at once.
The store may choose to make the package available for in-person collection or for delivery.
If delivered, payment is made to the courier; the Service Provider does not participate in this process.
Stores may reject, modify, confirm, or ignore reservation requests at any time.
3. Reservation abuse
If a user repeatedly (at least five consecutive times) fails to collect confirmed reservations,
the Service Provider may temporarily suspend their ability to make new reservations.
The suspension applies to all stores offering the reservation feature.
Only the store that initiated the suspension may lift it; the Service Provider cannot override it.
In cases of repeated abuse, reservation access may be permanently disabled,
though the user’s registration itself may remain active.
V. Disclaimer of liability
The Service Provider accepts no liability for the products displayed on the website,
including their quality, price, stock, or expiry date.
BESTB4 merely provides the technical means for displaying data entered by stores.
The Service Provider is not liable for inaccuracies, unavailability, or system errors.
It bears no responsibility for direct or indirect damages arising from use of the service.
Stores are not required to provide stock information.
Products displayed may become unavailable by the time of browsing.
Users consume products obtained through the platform at their own risk.
VI. Complaint handling
Consumers and businesses may submit complaints to the Service Provider at:

The Service Provider investigates and responds to complaints within 30 days.
If the response is unsatisfactory, the consumer may contact:

the Conciliation Board (Békéltető Testület),

the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH) – for data protection issues,

or the courts – for legal disputes.
VII. Miscellaneous provisions
The operation of BESTB4 requires the use of cookies and location data.
Details are provided in the Privacy Notice.
The Service Provider reserves the right to modify the Terms of Use and Privacy Notice at any time.
Changes take effect upon publication on the website.
By using the website, users accept the current Terms of Use.
